or email About The Client We're working with a leading UK energy organisation providing essential energy services to domestic, commercial and rural customers across the country. They're looking for a Gas Service Engineer to join their field-based engineering team, covering customer sites throughout Kent and the wider South East. This is a predominantly outdoor role offering plenty of variety, combining installation and maintenance work with customer service and emergency response. The Benefits Up to Β£37,000 salary Company van and fuel provided Overtime opportunities Company pension Healthcare benefits Structured training and development Additional LPG ACS qualifications provided Specialist LPG training with experienced engineers Career development and progression opportunities Ongoing technical training and support The Gas Service Engineer Role You'll be responsible for providing engineering services across a largely rural customer base, including: Installing and maintaining bulk gas tanks and associated assets Carrying out engineering work at customer sites across Kent and the South East Travelling throughout your allocated region using a company van Providing a high standard of customer service Working predominantly outdoors across a variety of customer locations Following relevant Health & Safety legislation and industry procedures Supporting emergency gas response activities Participating in an out-of-hours standby rota Identifying and addressing unsafe or sub-standard work Working independently while supporting the wider engineering team Please note, this position focuses on gas storage infrastructure and associated assets rather than servicing or repairing domestic gas appliances. Full training will be provided to develop your knowledge of LPG systems, including additional LPG ACS qualifications and practical training alongside experienced engineers. Gas Service Engineer Essential Skills Core Gas Safety qualification - minimum CCN1 Previous hands-on gas industry experience Full UK driving licence Strong Health & Safety awareness Understanding of relevant gas legislation and industry standards Confident working independently at customer sites Good problem-solving skills Strong customer service and communication skills Flexible approach to travel, standby and emergency call-outs Ability to follow technical procedures and instructions Previous LPG experience, particularly involving the installation or maintenance of bulk LPG tanks and cylinders, would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
