Workers wear a device, the platform knows where they are relative to hazard zones, and it alerts before someone walks into one. Live across rail, highways, construction, aviation, water and energy. Trackside, roadworks, airfields. The places where being in the wrong spot at the wrong moment is a fatality rather than a near miss. The software you write stops people being hit by trains and plant machinery. WHY THE ARCHITECTURE LOOKS LIKE IT DOES Position data streams continuously from GNSS, cellular, Bluetooth and UWB devices worn by workers in the field, over poor connectivity, at volume, where a dropped message has a safety consequence. That is why this is microservices with DAPR, event-driven with Kafka and Event Hubs, containerised on Kubernetes across two clouds. Not architecture for its own sake. A system that cannot go down. The other half of the business is connectivity, putting high-speed networking into places that have none, including satellite and private 4G and 5G for critical national infrastructure. That is what makes the product work on a site in the middle of nowhere. THE ROLE Full Stack Developer in the SaaS engineering team, working with Product Owners, UX Designers and Test Engineers. Front to back, turning requirements and designs into production functionality across APIs, microservices, event-driven systems and the wider platform architecture. Blazor and Razor on the front end, so no framework churn. You do not need commercial Blazor experience. Strong C# and .NET with React, Angular, Vue or MVC behind you is enough, and they will teach you DAPR and the positioning side. WHAT YOU WOULD LEARN HERE Most .NET roles in Kent at this level are a legacy monolith with a bit of Azure bolted on. Here you would pick up DAPR and distributed application patterns, Kubernetes, event-driven architecture with Kafka and Event Hubs, dual cloud across Azure and AWS, geospatial processing and real-time IoT telemetry, scope to cross-train into Go, and Claude Code and AI-assisted development as part of how the team actually works. Two years here changes what your CV says about you. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Strong commercial C# and modern .NET / .NET Core Full stack experience with Blazor, Razor, MVC, React, Angular or Vue Designing and working with APIs, and an understanding of microservices Commercial cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS Test-driven development, unit and automated testing Agile teams, Git, and strong problem solving and debugging Right to work in the UK, no sponsorship available Able to work onsite in Kings Hill 2 days a week Small engineering team, so genuine ownership and direct visibility with the CTO and MD.
