You\’ll specialise in either BMS Development or Commissioning & PPM, with opportunities to grow your expertise in a highly technical and fast-evolving environment.

The role pays £28-32K depending on experience, with £4k car allowance and excellent benefits and a strong focus on career progression.

This is a site-based role, with work primarily carried out on client sites or within live data centre facilities.

What will you be doing?
As a Data Centre Controls & Commissioning Engineer, you will take on one of two technical paths-developing advanced Building Management Systems (BMS), or leading the commissioning of data centre infrastructure. This is a hands-on, dynamic role working in a team that values precision, technical innovation, and client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the design, programming, and deployment of BMS systems

Leading or assisting commissioning activities to ensure systems meet exacting design standards

Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and controls infrastructure

Producing QA testing, documentation, and client handover materials

Diagnosing and resolving issues in live, mission-critical environments
What will you need?
-
Experience in BMS, controls, or commissioning roles (min. 2 years)

Degree or equivalent industry experience in a technical field

Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical infrastructure in data centres

Knowledge of Tridium or Trend BMS platforms

Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills

Confidence working in high-pressure environments
What would be desirable?

Experience with network setup, server configuration, and graphics integration

Strong documentation and reporting skills

Curiosity and enthusiasm for developing scalable systems

Any relevant BMS or electrical certifications
