A customer-focused service provider is looking to appoint an Information Governance Analyst to join their Cyber Security function based in Chester. This role offers a hybrid working model, with two days per week onsite.
You will play a key role in ensuring information assets are governed effectively across the organisation, supporting secure data handling, regulatory compliance, and best practice information management. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help embed robust governance processes and controls, with a particular focus on classification, retention, and protection of data. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview is essential.
The role involves overseeing information governance activities across the full data lifecycle, supporting the application of security controls, maintaining governance documentation, and contributing to compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. You will work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams and report into the Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance function.
To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience in an Information Governance or Data Governance position, a strong understanding of information classification and retention principles, and practical experience using Microsoft Purview. You will also be confident engaging with stakeholders, producing clear documentation, and working within a regulated or security-focused environment. Knowledge of data protection regulations is highly beneficial.
