Our client operates within a complex, highly regulated technology environment, delivering large-scale digital platforms and tooling to support critical business services. Their teams work across a broad portfolio of transformation and change initiatives, with a strong focus on modern DevOps practices. Due to ongoing project demand, they are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support delivery across multiple initiatives.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- £45 per hour via Umbrella
- 37.5-hour working week
- Hybrid working – 3 days on-site in Sheffield
- Initial contract until 30/10/2026

THE TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST (DEVOPS) ROLE
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will support existing DevOps teams across a portfolio of projects, contributing to analysis, planning, build, testing, migration, and post-live support activities. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping to drive delivery, improve processes, and support modern CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting DevOps delivery across multiple projects and applications
- Requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation (business and technical)
- Supporting application build, testing, migration, and post-live activities
- Process mapping and identification of automation and optimisation opportunities
- Data extraction, analysis, and reporting to support delivery decisions
- Working closely with DevOps engineers, product teams, and wider stakeholders
TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within DevOps environments
- Strong experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and CI/CD tooling
- Experience with build and deployment pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Ansible)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in large, matrix organisations
- Strong stakeholder management and documentation skills
- Experience within banking, finance, or fintech environments
- BPSS eligibility
