New Permanent Opportunity available with a leading Defence Organisation for a Security Cleared Field Service Engineer in Woking. Woking location – hybrid working when possible. Must hold active SC or MoD DV Clearance. Competitive Salary DOE plus bonus and on-call allowance. On call rota – 1 week on / 3 weeks off.
Experience in Windows/Linux, Networking, Infrastructure Support, Customer Engagement.

What will the Field Service Engineer be Doing? Working in a team of four, you’ll provide technical support, work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver reliable service and maintain high customer satisfaction. The role requires strong IT infrastructure knowledge and familiarity with working with Defence customers and in secure environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver on-site maintenance, repairs, updates, testing support and customer training
- Provide remote 1st/2nd line technical support
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota with emergency site attendance
- Install, configure and maintain servers, networks, firewalls and virtualised systems
- Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and component-level repairs
- Produce technical reports, RMAs and certification documentation
The Field Service Engineer Should Have:
- Active SC or MoD DV Clearance (UK Eyes Only)
- Willingness to work on site in Woking or London when required – hybrid when possible
- Full driving license
- Required experience in the following:
- MoD background/experience supporting classified military systems and infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of secure networks, systems and cryptographic equipment (LAN/WAN/VLAN, firewalls, Windows/Linux, virtualisation)
- Supporting live military environments, exercises, demonstrations and in-service equipment
- Understanding of hardware lifecycle management, upgrades and capacity planning
- Experience supporting high-value, low-volume systems in regulated environments
- Awareness of ITIL service management principles
