Operating at the forefront of innovation, they’re expanding their UK Systems Engineering capability and are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their specialist team in North London. You’ll work on the definition, design, and integration of world-class mission-critical systems, supporting prestigious programmes in the defence and maritime sectors.

THE SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER ROLE
You will play a key part in delivering radar and sensor-based systems across the full engineering lifecycle, from concept and bidding through to integration, verification, and customer acceptance. You’ll lead technical documentation, collaborate across engineering disciplines (software, mechanical, electrical), and support real-world deployments in the UK and abroad. This is a diverse and hands-on role, ideal for engineers who thrive on variety, ownership, and solving complex systems-level challenges.
SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience in systems design, integration, and test
- Familiar with full product/system lifecycle – from concept to delivery
- Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, software)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing skills
- Willingness to travel for site acceptance and project delivery
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or related discipline
- Must be a British citizen and eligible for UK SC clearance
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Background in naval platforms, or navigation technologies
- Familiarity with communications protocols (RS232, TCP/IP, Canbus)
- Ability to lead engineering packages, manage deliverables to time, cost, quality
- Member of a professional body (e.g. IET, INCOSE, IMechE)
- UK Driving Licence
