WHAT WILL THE PCB CAD DESIGNER BE DOING?
- PCB CAD design
- PCB Layout
- Component Placement
- Routing for RF and high-speed digital board using Altium
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- More than 5-years of experience in PCB CAD Design, using Altium SW suite, for:
- Electronic schematic capture
- Components library (definition, design component and footprint)
- Mixed technology (e.g., SMT, PTH)
- Routing design for manufacturing
- Design for testability
- RF and high-speed digital boards (e.g., mmWave boards)
- Multi-layers PCB design
- Through holes and blind vias
- Support the design engineer in the selection of specific PCB material (substrates, copper, …)
- Design and verify balanced high-speed trace (impedance, capacitance, spacing)
- Design and verify power trace (current limits, capacity, spacing)
- Design and verify balanced copper distribution and weight to prevent bow and twist
- Components placement definition of the layup
- Preparation of manufacturing data
- Deep knowledge of IPC-A-600, IPC-6012, IPC-A-610, up to class 3, IPC-2221 standards and guidelines
