Travel to client sites across the UK 1-2 times per month. SC clearance eligibility required.

ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client delivers complex digital and transformation programmes within the Public Sector, helping organisations improve services and deliver better outcomes for their users. Working across policy, technology, operations and delivery, they take a user-centred approach to solving complex service challenges. Due to continued demand for their services, they are looking for an experienced Service Designer to join the team.

THE SERVICE DESIGNER ROLE:

As a Service Designer, you will lead the design of end-to-end services that meet user needs and deliver policy intent. You’ll map complex service ecosystems, systems and processes, identify pain points and opportunities, and create service blueprints and journey maps to communicate your designs. You’ll facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions, collaborate with policy, operations, product, delivery and technical teams, and champion accessible and inclusive design. You’ll also contribute to service strategies and transformation roadmaps, whilst ensuring services are scalable, sustainable and designed for continuous improvement.

SERVICE DESIGNER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Extensive Service Design experience within the Public Sector
  • Strong experience working with Government Digital Services
  • Proven ability to design end-to-end, user-centred services
  • Experience producing service blueprints, journey maps and service maps
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Understanding of accessibility, usability and inclusive design
