Our client is a leading research and technology organisation operating within the defence and security space. They deliver cutting-edge innovation across secure environments, supporting critical national infrastructure and future-focused programmes. Due to continued growth and investment in their network capabilities, they are now looking for a Network Engineer to join their expanding team.

As a Network Engineer, you will support the day-to-day operation of an enterprise network while contributing to the design and implementation of a new defence network. You will troubleshoot network and security issues, manage infrastructure upgrades, and act as a key technical point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Alongside BAU support, you will be involved in project delivery including deploying network technologies such as switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless solutions. You will also support cloud integrations and work closely with security teams to ensure compliance and performance across the network estate.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in a networking and/or network security role
- CCNA or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking (L2 / L3 concepts)
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and remote access solutions
- Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Experience working with wireless networks and infrastructure
- Ability to support both BAU and project-based work
- Willingness to undergo government security clearance
