ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a UK-based organisation specialising in the commercial development of advanced technologies emerging from complex research environments. They work closely with technical experts, innovators and external partners to identify market opportunities and create sustainable commercial pathways. Due to growth across their technology portfolio, they are seeking Senior Commercialisation Managers to support this expansion.
THE ROLE
These roles focus on supporting the commercial journey of novel technologies, from early assessment through to market engagement. This role is aimed at experienced professionals who can lead complex technology opportunities end-to-end. You will manage portfolios, shape commercial strategies, engage senior stakeholders and provide mentoring and line management to Commercialisation Managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluating new technologies and identifying viable market opportunities.
- Conducting market and competitor analysis.
- Developing value propositions, commercial strategies and early business cases.
- Supporting licensing activity and new venture creation.
- Building strong relationships with technical experts and external partners.
- Managing commercial pipelines and maintaining accurate documentation.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience delivering commercial deals, licensing or venture creation.
- Strong understanding of IP and commercialisation frameworks.
- Experience managing complex technologies or portfolios.
- Confident negotiation and senior stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience mentoring or managing colleagues.
- Background in investment, early-stage ventures or innovation-led organisations (desirable).
