Lead Infrastructure Engineer (DV Security Clearance)
Brand New Permanent Opportunity within an exciting National Security SME in Cheltenham for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer.
Base pay range
Up to £95k DoE – plus benefits and bonuses.
Location
Cheltenham – full time on site when required.
Requirements
- Enhanced DV clearance (West) – active.
- Full time on site in Cheltenham when required.
Technical Expertise
- Oracle – expertise in Oracle (19c), web applications built with APEX (21–24) and ORDS (24), strong PL/SQL skills.
- APEX – versatile lead engineer background, comfortable learning APEX on the job.
- AWS – experience migrating applications and databases to AWS Oracle services.
- APIs – understanding of APIs and service integration in corporate environments.
- Infrastructure as a Service – experience with Red Hat (8/9) and Amazon Linux (2/2023) for building non-database infrastructure.
- Version control – familiarity with Atlassian Bitbucket/JIRA and GitLab.
Responsibilities
- Develop and provide 3rd line support for mission-critical applications.
- Promote modern development practices and drive team improvements with Service Owner and CIO.
- Mentor technical staff.
- Advise client leads on multi-year migration plans from Oracle to AWS.
