FIRE ENGINEERS – UK WIDE – NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Our client\’s Building Design Practice is at the forefront of delivering fire engineering solutions across multiple sectors, including Cities & Development, Commercial, Energy, Residential, and Transportation. They are seeking a Fire Engineer to join their forward-thinking, collaborative team, helping shape safer, sustainable buildings and infrastructure for the future.

THE FIRE ENGINEER ROLE:
As a Fire Engineer, depending on seniority, you will service or manage your own projects while collaborating with colleagues to deliver innovative fire engineering solutions. You will work across sectors, from Defence, to rail transportation and energy facilities, taking projects from inception to completion. You’ll assess fire risks, support strategy development, undertake site visits, and ensure compliance with relevant fire safety standards. Your role will be integral in strengthening technical capability within the team and contributing to the company’s reputation for excellence.
FIRE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• Engineering degree (preferably in fire engineering) or postgraduate qualification; candidates from other relevant engineering backgrounds considered
• Knowledge of fire standards such as BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545
• Experience with fire modelling and CFD modelling
• Ability to work towards chartered fire engineer status
• Flexible approach to working environment with willingness to travel
• Strong commercial awareness and client-focused approach
• Excellent report writing, analytical, and communication skills
