Epsom Location - 2 days on site per week. Up to £60k DoE plus package. Active SC clearance required.

Join a secure sector engineering consultancy delivering advanced, enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions. This role sits within a specialist IT engineering team with a strong focus on designing, implementing and supporting Nutanix-based hyperconverged infrastructure across complex environments.

You will play a key role in evolving and optimising Nutanix platforms that underpin critical business systems, working across design, deployment, support and continuous improvement activities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing, deploying and supporting Nutanix HCI environments at enterprise scale
  • Leading implementation and optimisation of Nutanix clusters across hybrid infrastructure
  • Providing L2/L3 support for Nutanix platforms, including performance tuning and issue resolution
  • Contributing to HLD/LLD design for Nutanix-based infrastructure solutions
  • Supporting lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching and platform enhancements
  • Working closely with infrastructure teams to ensure resilient, scalable Nutanix deployments
  • Troubleshooting complex Nutanix performance, storage and virtualisation issues
  • Producing clear technical documentation and operational runbooks

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix HCI in enterprise environments (L2/L3 level)
  • Proven experience designing and implementing Nutanix clusters
  • Deep understanding of Nutanix architecture, performance tuning and lifecycle management
  • Experience with Prism management and Nutanix cluster operations
  • Strong knowledge of HPE server and storage platforms supporting Nutanix deployments
  • Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory domain services
  • Backup and recovery tooling (e.g. Veeam) within Nutanix environments
  • Networking fundamentals including Fibre Channel and iSCSI

Desirable Skills:

  • Nutanix certifications (NCP/NCA or equivalent experience)
  • Linux operating systems
  • Microsoft SCOM monitoring
  • Infrastructure tooling such as iDRAC, iLO or OneView
  • Exposure to multi-cluster or hybrid Nutanix architectures

Behavioural Skills:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to lead technical discussions around Nutanix solutions
  • Comfortable working in complex, project-based delivery environments
