ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a globally recognised aerospace engineering organisation supporting large-scale manufacturing operations within a highly regulated environment. Their Manufacturing Engineering team plays a critical role in enabling production by delivering robust, value-adding solutions that minimise disruption to shopfloor operations. Due to continued investment in operational improvement, they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Manufacturing Engineering to join the team in Broughton.
THE PROJECT ENGINEER – MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING ROLE:
As a Project Engineer within Manufacturing Engineering, you will be responsible for delivering projects that improve and enable production processes while meeting safety, cost and quality targets. You will support the business through process mapping and requirement definition, ensuring full lifecycle project delivery from analysis and design through to deployment and technical acceptance. The role includes financial management (cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and forecasting), risk and dependency management, stakeholder engagement, and governance documentation. You will also support lifting operations through process creation and contribute to defining “AS IS” and “TO BE” solutions that drive measurable operational improvements.
PROJECT ENGINEER – MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven Project Management experience (AGILE, LBIP, Planisware or similar PM tools)
- Experience delivering projects within a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Experience in process mapping and requirements definition
- Financial project management experience (cost control, budgeting, forecasting)
- Ability to analyse and simplify complex technical topics
- Experience producing technical specifications based on operational requirements
