A new contract opportunity is available with a leading aerospace company for a Repair Design Engineer.

Details:

  • Up to £52ph inside IR35
  • Initial contract until December 2026
  • Onsite in Filton - opportunity for 2 days a week from home
  • 35 hour working week
  • BPSS clearance required

WHAT WILL THE REPAIR DESIGN ENGINEER BE DOING?

The role will provide the opportunity to join a team responsible for the design of repairs on composite structures. This team works closely with a variety of Stress Engineers to create and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures. Other roles include:

  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met
  • Adhering to airworthiness regulations, methods, and capability guidelines
  • Creating and coordinating engineering documentation to deliver the required technical data for repairs.

WE NEED THE REPAIR DESIGN ENGINEER TO HAVE:

  • An Aircraft Structural Engineering background
  • Experience designing repairs and working with spares (ideally wing repairs)
  • Ability to read production drawings
  • The ability to go through a BPSS check

Desirable: Hold a Design Approval Delegation.
