Job Description

BRAKING & STEERING CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

New contract opportunity available in Filton for a Landing Gear Systems Engineer with a focus on Braking Control and Wheel Steering Control Systems

  • Hybrid with 3 days a week on-site in Filton
  • Initial 6-month contract
  • £59.49ph (inside IR35)
  • 35 hours per week over 4.5 days
  • Half a day on Fridays
  • 1 stage interview
  • BPSS clearance provided by the client

WHAT WILL THE BRAKING & STEERING CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER BE DOING?

  • Working with and supporting the Engineering team to develop the technical solution
  • Ensuring that Design Review deliverables will result in a mature and easily Certifiable product
  • Supporting and enabling the development of V&V planning throughout the design development life cycle
  • Resolution of technical (in-service) incidents (concept design, drawing technical notes, instructions or specifications) ready to be manufactured or repaired, challenge customer requests technically and economically
  • Identify Risks and implement Mitigations and Opportunities in order to deliver to the Program

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING…

  • 5+ years’ experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering or Landing Gear experience
  • Understanding of processes and requirements e.g. V&V
  • Experience working systems equipment e.g. equipment design and investigation
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Ability to answer in service, airworthiness and FAL queries
