We are seeking a skilled Golang Developer to join a high-performing team delivering secure and scalable solutions within a government-focused environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful, mission-critical systems while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimise backend services using Go (Golang)
- Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and Cloud engineers
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement practices
- Ensure adherence to security and best practice standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Golang
- Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working in secure or government environments
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools
- Active SC Clearance required
