Job Description

REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER

CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE WITH A LEADING AEROSPACE COMPANY FOR A REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER

  • £46 to £50ph inside IR35
  • Initial contract until December 2025
  • Onsite in Filton – opportunity for 2 days a week from home
  • 35 hour working week over 4.5 days
  • BPSS clearance required

WHAT WILL THE REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER BE DOING?

The role will provide the opportunity to join a team responsible for the static strength analysis of metallic and composite structures. This team work closely with the Design and F&DT engineers to assess and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures. Other roles include:

  • Completing justification reports and other engineering documentation
  • Working with skilled designers to develop optimum repairs
  • Using ISAMI and Mathcad to perform structural static strength analysis of repairs

WE NEED THE REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER TO HAVE….

  • Previous repairs experience on Airbus aircraft programmes
  • Have an Aircraft Structural Engineering background
  • Knowledge of ISAMI and Mathcad
  • Experience using a range of hand and computer methods to complete static analysis
  • Composite material experience would also be beneficial
  • The ability to go through a BPSS check
