ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a global engineering and aerospace organisation supporting high-profile aviation programmes within a highly regulated environment. They are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Driver / Forklift Operator to support a busy logistics operation, ensuring the safe movement, handling and transportation of materials within a Part 145 aircraft maintenance environment.
THE WAREHOUSE DRIVER / FORKLIFT OPERATOR ROLE
As a Warehouse Driver / Forklift Operator, you'll play a key role in supporting warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently whilst complying with strict aviation, quality and security standards. You'll operate company vehicles and forklifts, transport goods across site and to external locations, assist with loading and unloading, maintain accurate documentation, and support warehouse operations in line with Part 145 regulations. You'll also help maintain a safe working environment, support continuous improvement initiatives and work closely with the wider logistics team to ensure operational efficiency.
WAREHOUSE DRIVER / FORKLIFT OPERATOR ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain certification)
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or supply chain environments
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Forklift licence or previous forklift operating experience
- Experience operating material handling equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse health & safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
