Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with React and Next.js
- Proven track record designing and delivering scalable software architectures
- Cloud experience across Azure, AWS or GCP
- Strong understanding of API design, integrations and distributed systems
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers
- Passion for modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practice
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable backend services, APIs, integrations and data flows
- Provide architectural guidance across the wider engineering team
- Remain hands‑on with development while shaping the future of a modern, large‑scale platform
- Work across the full stack, including modern frontend technologies and cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with Product teams, stakeholders and fellow engineers
- Help establish engineering standards and influence development processes
- Drive adoption of AI‑assisted development practices and spec‑driven development approaches
- Provide technical mentorship across the team
- Influence technology decisions and long‑term platform strategy
