Our client is a well-established Managed Service Provider delivering technology solutions to a diverse customer base. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced IT Procurement Manager to take ownership of procurement operations across the business. This is a key role focused on ensuring hardware, software and services are sourced efficiently, purchased accurately and delivered in line with customer and business requirements. You'll play an important role in supporting customer delivery, supplier performance, operational efficiency and commercial success.

What will you be doing?

You'll be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activity across hardware, software, licensing and services, working closely with suppliers, distributors and vendor partners to ensure products are sourced, ordered and delivered effectively. You'll manage supplier relationships, monitor stock availability and lead times, place purchase orders, track fulfilment activity and resolve supplier-side issues where required. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll ensure accurate procurement records are maintained while helping improve procurement processes, governance and reporting. The role will also involve supporting commercial decision-making, managing supplier escalations, resolving fulfilment issues and contributing to ongoing improvements in supplier performance, cost control and operational efficiency.

What will you need?

  • 5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management or a similar commercial role
  • Experience working within an MSP, IT reseller, technology distributor or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, purchase orders and order fulfilment
  • Proven experience managing supplier, distributor or vendor relationships
  • Strong commercial awareness and decision-making ability
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail when handling pricing, specifications and supplier information
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with procurement, ERP, PSA or business management systems
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, ownership and continuous improvement

What would be desirable?

  • Experience using Autotask PSA
  • Knowledge of IT hardware, software licensing and cloud services procurement
  • Experience supporting procurement governance and compliance initiatives
  • Understanding of stock management, logistics and equipment fulfilment
  • Exposure to supplier performance management and procurement reporting
  • Experience working with major IT distributors and vendor partners
