THE SENIOR DATA ENGINEER ROLE:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll design, build and optimise scalable ETL and ELT pipelines that power AI-driven products and enterprise data platforms. You’ll take ownership of complex data engineering challenges, develop robust data models, support CI/CD processes and help integrate machine learning outputs into production environments. Alongside hands-on technical delivery, you’ll mentor other engineers, contribute to engineering standards and collaborate closely with Product, AI and Platform teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.
SENIOR DATA ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Commercial experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Data Platform Engineer
- Strong SQL and Python development skills
- Experience designing and building ETL and ELT pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing principles
- Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP cloud platforms
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git and DevOps best practices
- Experience mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
