We’re working with an established and growing technology-driven organisation that specialises in data-led systems and analytics solutions. Due to continued demand and internal growth, they’re looking to bring in an experienced Application Support Engineer to support and enhance a range of business-critical platforms.

THE APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER ROLE:
This is a hands-on, problem-solving role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail and understanding how systems truly work. You’ll be supporting a range of applications, many of which include legacy components with limited documentation, so the ability to investigate, reverse engineer, and build knowledge quickly is key. Day to day, you’ll be diagnosing and resolving issues, working on change requests, and supporting the rollout and demonstration of new or updated systems. You’ll also play a role in due diligence activities, helping to assess and understand systems during onboarding or transition phases. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, thrives in less structured environments, and takes pride in getting to the root cause of complex technical issues.
APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong SQL and SQL Server experience
- Proven background in Application Support or similar support-focused role
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience working with legacy systems and low-documentation environments
- Ability to manage and deliver change requests
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and demonstrating systems
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
