ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client is a specialist technology organisation delivering secure, mission-critical digital solutions within highly regulated and security-focused environments. They work on complex technical challenges where security, reliability and innovation are critical. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Security Consultant to join their team.

THE SECURITY CONSULTANT ROLE:

As a Security Consultant, you will take responsibility for maintaining the security and compliance of internal systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, DevSecOps and delivery teams to ensure security requirements are embedded throughout technical environments. Responsibilities will include cyber risk management, security assurance, developing security policies and documentation, supporting secure system design, producing evidence against MOD requirements and reporting cyber risks and compliance to senior stakeholders.

SECURITY CONSULTANT ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Experience conducting cyber security risk assessments using methodologies such as NIST or ISO 27005
  • Strong understanding of security risk treatment and mitigation
  • Experience producing security documentation, including risk assessments, security policies and Security Aspects of Design
  • Experience within Azure, M365, Intune, JAMF, Windows, macOS or Kubernetes environments
  • Understanding of Agile, DevSecOps and CI/CD principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working within secure, regulated or safety-critical environments
