ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a specialist technology organisation delivering secure, mission-critical digital solutions across Defence and National Security. They work at the forefront of secure cloud technologies, digital innovation and rapid application development. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Security Architect to join their team.

THE SECURITY ARCHITECT ROLE

As a Security Architect, you will support the secure delivery of internal and MOD projects, working alongside Software Engineering, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, Agile and Cyber Security teams. You will develop security architectures for complex systems, provide strategic direction on security projects, manage security risk and produce evidence against relevant MOD regulations. You will also assess threats and vulnerabilities, design appropriate mitigations and help ensure emerging technologies are delivered securely into government environments.

SECURITY ARCHITECT ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Experience designing secure government systems deployed to cloud environments
  • Security architecture and security risk management experience
  • Threat assessment experience using methodologies such as STRIDE
  • Experience within DevSecOps and Kubernetes environments
  • Understanding of secure-by-design principles
  • Hands-on security engineering experience within Azure and M365
  • Knowledge of MOD security policies, including JSP 440, JSP 453/604 and JSP 892
  • Knowledge of Agile and CI/CD within secure environments
  • Strong written documentation and technical design skills
