Search Recruitment Group is currently supporting the recruitment of a Senior Site Engineer to work on the Uxbridge Moor Substation project as part of National Grid's wider transmission infrastructure upgrade programme. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major UK energy infrastructure project delivering critical transmission and substation works within the power and utilities sector. The Uxbridge Moor project forms part of National Grid's long-term investment in strengthening the UK electricity transmission network and will involve significant civils, utilities, and substation infrastructure packages within a live HV environment.
The role will support the delivery of:
- Substation civil engineering packages
- HV infrastructure and utility works
- Earthworks, drainage, ducting, and reinforced concrete works
- Cable route and associated infrastructure installations
- Temporary Works and enabling works packages
As Senior Site Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance
- Support planning and coordination of Temporary Works activities
- Manage site engineering and setting out activities
- Ensure construction works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, ITPs, and project requirements
- Liaise with subcontractors, site teams, designers, and client representatives
- Prepare and implement RAMS and safe systems of work
- Maintain accurate site documentation, records, and progress reporting
- Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with project standards
- Support project delivery teams in achieving programme milestones and operational targets
