Search Recruitment Group is currently supporting the recruitment of a Senior Site Engineer to work on the Uxbridge Moor Substation project as part of National Grid's wider transmission infrastructure upgrade programme. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major UK energy infrastructure project delivering critical transmission and substation works within the power and utilities sector. The Uxbridge Moor project forms part of National Grid's long-term investment in strengthening the UK electricity transmission network and will involve significant civils, utilities, and substation infrastructure packages within a live HV environment.

The role will support the delivery of:

  • Substation civil engineering packages
  • HV infrastructure and utility works
  • Earthworks, drainage, ducting, and reinforced concrete works
  • Cable route and associated infrastructure installations
  • Temporary Works and enabling works packages

As Senior Site Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance
  • Support planning and coordination of Temporary Works activities
  • Manage site engineering and setting out activities
  • Ensure construction works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, ITPs, and project requirements
  • Liaise with subcontractors, site teams, designers, and client representatives
  • Prepare and implement RAMS and safe systems of work
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, records, and progress reporting
  • Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with project standards
  • Support project delivery teams in achieving programme milestones and operational targets
