Site Engineer - South Wales

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a busy civil engineering and construction project in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer with strong technical knowledge and a proven background in setting out, quality assurance, and temporary works coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out all setting out duties using GPS and total station equipment.
- Managing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built surveys.
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications and drawings.
- Implementing and monitoring quality assurance procedures, including ITPs, inspections, and record keeping.
- Coordinating temporary works requirements and ensuring compliance with approved designs and procedures.
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and the client team.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
- Supporting project delivery to programme whilst maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in Quality Assurance (QA) processes and documentation.
- Experience managing or coordinating Temporary Works.
- Proficient in setting out using Leica, Trimble, or similar equipment.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
- CSCS Card essential.
- SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
