Search Consultancy are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Law firm based in Edinburgh City Centre to recruit this brand new permanent role within their team following a promotion. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive Administration & Secretarial support to a number of Partners & Associates within their Private Client team. This role would ideally suit a candidate with prior Administration experience (preferably from within the Legal or Professional Services industry) who is looking for their next move into a role where they can learn & progress with a true industry leader!
Responsibilities
- Completion of Legal documentation, forms & correspondence on instruction from fee earners in a timely fashion.
- Carrying out copy & audio-typing of correspondence and legal documentation as required.
- Dealing with confidential Private Client documentation including Powers of Attorney, Wills & Deeds.
- Handling incoming calls to the departments, dealing with initial queries, taking & passing on messages & referring calls to the appropriate person if required.
- Ensuring that client files & the internal client system is accurately updated following any contact.
- Various other Administration & Secretarial work as directed by the Support Manager & Partners.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience within an Administration role is ESSENTIAL.
- Candidates with prior Legal Administration experience would be at a distinct advantage.
- Solid organisational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively.
- First-class communication skills, both written & verbal, with the ability to show empathy when dealing with sensitive situations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
