Search Consultancy is looking for a hardworking General Labourer to join our busy construction and civils teams across Middlesbrough. We are partnering with leading main contractors and residential developers who require reliable "boots on the ground" capable of supporting various trades and maintaining site standards at a fast pace.

If you are a Labourer who thrives in a high-volume environment and can move seamlessly from site clearance to assisting skilled trades and managing deliveries, we have immediate starts and long-term runs of work available now.

The Role

  • Site Maintenance: Ensuring the site remains clean, safe, and organised by clearing debris and managing waste disposal.
  • Trade Support: Assisting skilled tradespeople (bricklayers, joiners, and finishers) with the movement of materials and general lifting and shifting.
  • Material Handling: Safely unloading deliveries and distributing building materials to various plots or levels across the site.
  • Safety & Compliance: Following strict health and safety guidelines to ensure the site remains a secure environment for all workers.
  • Productivity Driven: We need Labourers who are proactive and used to the speed of busy new-build or commercial sites, ensuring the program stays on track.

Requirements

  • CSCS Card: A valid Green card is mandatory.
  • Experience: Previous experience working on a busy construction site or civil engineering project is preferred.
  • Physical Fitness: Must be capable of performing manual handling tasks and staying active throughout the shift.
  • Tools & PPE: Must have standard 5-point PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots, gloves, and glasses).
  • Reliability: A strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude are essential for keeping the site running smoothly.
  • Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
