Search Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to work for one of our busy manufacturing clients based in Southport on a 6 months temp contract. This role will be working in a busy manufacturing environment and previous experience with manufacturing processes would be beneficial. This is a great opportunity to join a company and department that continues to grow. This role is working out of the Southport manufacturing sites and will involve reviewing policies for other sites in the north west.

Duties of this role of Health and Safety officer will include:

  • Reviewing H+S processes for northwest sites
  • Deliver & maintain a compliant & safe working environment
  • Deliver & continuously improve Health & Safety standards, procedures & policies required by ISO14001 & OHSAS18001
  • Risk Management
  • Ownership for health and safety records and safety prevention methods
  • Creating Monthly reports
  • Supporting leadership team on projects

The successful candidate must:

  • Have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Have experience with ISO14001 & OHSAS18001
  • Good Written and verbal communication
