We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a new build substation project in Pilmoor, York. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major power infrastructure project, with the potential for long-term work beyond the initial programme for the right individual.

The successful candidate must come from a strong civils and substation background, with extensive experience delivering setting out works on new build substations, particularly within reinforced concrete packages and DNO environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day setting out duties
  • Producing and completing QA check sheets
  • Completing as-built surveys and records
  • Material take-offs
  • Supporting delivery teams across civils packages
  • Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in line with programme requirements
  • Liaising with site management and subcontractors
  • Maintaining high quality and safety standards throughout the project
Requirements:
  • NG Person Authorisation
  • Extensive setting out experience on new build substations
  • Previous experience delivering similar substation projects
  • Strong reinforced concrete experience
  • Experience working with high-profile DNOs, particularly Northern Powergrid (NPG)
  • Strong work ethic and proactive attitude
  • Ambitious and capable of operating within fast-paced project environments
