Search Consultancy is looking for experienced SFS Fixers to join our busy construction teams across Boldon and South Shields. We are partnering with leading external framing and facade contractors who require precision and pace in the installation of structural steel framing systems.
Note: We welcome applications from experienced Dry liners and Joiners who have a proven track record in structural steel framing and exterior systems.

The Role
- System Installation: Expertly installing structural steel framing systems (SFS) to strict architectural and engineering specifications.
- Component Fixing: Precise fitting of tracks, studs, cleats, and bracing, ensuring all frames are level, plumb, and structurally sound.
- Sheathing & Boarding: Assisting with the application of external sheathing boards and weather defence membranes as required.
- Technical Accuracy: Reading and interpreting site drawings to ensure the correct layout of window openings and structural support.
- Productivity Driven: We need fixers used to the speed of large-scale commercial and residential projects who can keep the program moving without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Interior Systems, Carpentry & Joinery, or equivalent experience.
- CSCS Card: A valid Blue or Gold card is mandatory for this position.
- Experience: Proven track record in SFS fixing. We are happy to speak with Dry liners or Joiners with significant experience in metal stud partitioning and structural framing.
- Tools & PPE: Full professional tool kit (including cordless impact drivers, levels, and lasers) and standard 5-point PPE.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of site safety and output.
- Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
