We are seeking a Sewing Machinist / Stitcher for a temporary to permanent role within a well-established garment manufacturing company based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled machinists with experience in industrial sewing techniques to secure long-term employment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various industrial sewing machines, including:
- Flat Lock
- Bar Tack
- Overlock
- Bottom Felling (Hemming)
- Button Sewing & Buttonhole Machines
- Follow technical specifications and patterns to assemble high-quality garments.
- Inspect finished garments for quality assurance.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including threading and minor adjustments.
- Meet daily production targets in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with industrial sewing machines is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of garment construction and fabric types.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently.
- Reliable and punctual.
