About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a newly established 3-bed Children's Residential Home in Sale. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and development of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the home.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the service.
- Ensure the home operates in line with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people through effective care planning and support.
- Recruit, supervise, develop, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding care.
- Maintain safeguarding practices and ensure the welfare of children remains the highest priority.
- Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, families, social workers, and other professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement and work towards achieving and maintaining good or outstanding Ofsted ratings.
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 1 year's experience working within a Children's Residential Home.
- Previous experience in a management, deputy management, or senior leadership role within residential childcare.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, children's legislation, and Ofsted requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
- Experience registering with Ofsted or supporting an Ofsted registration process.
- Proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
