Rate: £359.55 per day
Hours: 50 hours per week
Search Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Resident Engineer to join a major transmission infrastructure project at Vanguard West. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for an experienced civil engineering professional with a strong background in high-voltage substations and the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
The Role:
- Manage the technical aspects of civil construction from design review through to site execution.
- Supervise subcontractors and oversee the daily progress of civil works.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
- Lead all quality activities, including ITPs, inspection records, audits and the management of NCRs.
- Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials and logistics.
- Resolve on-site engineering and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate quality and project documentation.
- Support project planning, engineering control and resource management.
- Promote the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Civil Resident Engineer or similar senior civil engineering role.
- Strong background working on high-voltage substation or transmission projects.
- Experience managing projects through to successful completion and close-out.
- HNC or HND in Civil Engineering.
- CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport.
- IPAF. First Aid. Manual Handling.
- Good working knowledge of modern construction methods and the Specification for Highway Works (SHW).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
The Role Offers:
- £359.55 per day.
- Outside IR35.
- 50-hour working week.
- Weekly timesheets.
- Long-term contract through to August 2027.
