Hours: 38 hours per week + overtime available

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Shot / Bead Blaster & Polisher to join our team in Livingston on a full-time basis.

About the Role

This role involves use of machinery and equipment to blast and polish components to a high standard while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. In addition, you will be responsible for carrying out quality checks and supporting continuous improvement within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate all blast booth equipment safely and effectively
  • Blast stainless steel assemblies and components to a high-quality finish
  • Tape, mask, label, and tag parts as required
  • Use overhead hoists and lifting equipment to move assemblies
  • Carry out quality checks and identify defects for rework
  • Clean completed units before returning them to the workshop
  • Maintain blast booth equipment, PPE, and consumable stock levels
  • Complete safety checks, audits, and general maintenance tasks
  • Polish and passivate stainless steel components to required finishes
  • Use hand tools and power tools to prepare and finish surfaces
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Record production and processing information when needed
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and wheel changes

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in shot blasting, bead blasting, polishing and metal finishing OR transferable skills from an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work to a high-quality standard with strong attention to detail
  • Experience identifying defects through close visual inspection
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
