I'm currently recruiting for a Payroll Assistant on behalf of a well established accountancy practice based in Glasgow. This is a hands on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of a varied client portfolio and manage payrolls from start to finish. If you enjoy end to end payroll, building client relationships and working within a supportive practice environment, this could be an excellent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing end to end payrolls on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Managing a varied portfolio of client payrolls
  • Processing CIS payrolls
  • Pension submissions and auto enrolment administration
  • HMRC reporting and year end payroll processes
  • Using Sage Payroll and Excel on a daily basis
  • Managing payroll inboxes and handling general payroll administration
  • Assisting with VAT returns when required

About You

  • Previous payroll experience is essential
  • Experience working within an accountancy practice is preferred but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with excellent client relationship skills
