The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for Registered Midwives looking to relocate to Melbourne, Australia and join a highly regarded maternity service with a strong midwifery culture and supportive, collaborative environment. We are recruiting passionate midwives to work across a range of maternity models including low-risk, all-risk, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (Galinjera) teams, with opportunities to be involved in homebirth services. Employer sponsorship is available for internationally qualified midwives seeking to move to Australia.
About the role:
We are passionate about letting midwives at every stage of their career use and further hone their skills across the full spectrum of practice. It is in this environment where you will have the greatest scope to work to your full potential. Our midwives are actively encouraged to upskill, develop their critical thinking, take leadership roles and lead care planning, with an emphasis on person-centred care. As a registered midwife (or nurse/midwife) you will be able to tap into your full range of skills and work wherever you are happiest or across a variety of areas, including:
- Antenatal Clinic
- Maternity Assessment Centre
- Birthing Suite
- Postnatal Maternity Wards
- Domiciliary (home outreach) team
- Home birth program
About you:
- Current Certification: Clean and Registered NMC pin
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years UK experience (community or inpatient experience is accepted)
- Passionate Advocates: Dedicated to woman-centered care, advocacy, and education.
- Clinical Excellence: Possess excellent clinical skills with evidence-based judgment.
- Collaborative Spirit: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to Development: Desire and experience in undertaking professional development activities to enhance nursing/midwifery expertise.
