Are you an experienced Plant Operator skilled in operating heavy dozers with 3D GPS machine control? Looking for a concentrated, high-hour block of work in Teesside? Search Consultancy is recruiting a high-caliber Dozer Operator (Cat D6 level) equipped with Trimble GPS systems for a major earthworks project in Middlesbrough. This position runs on a structured 10-shift block following an initial site break, making it ideal for experienced operators looking for high productivity and clean, continuous shift runs.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • 3D GPS Earthworks: Utilizing in-cab Trimble GPS 3D control systems to execute bulk earthworks, battering, trimming, and fine-grade levelling strictly to digital design models.
  • Heavy Dozer Operation: Safely operating Cat D6 (or equivalent size) track dozers across bulk muck shifts, plateau formation, cut-and-fill operations, and material spreading.
  • Level & Slope Accuracy: Achieving tight design tolerances on large-scale site formations, road sub-bases, and embankment batters without over-excavating.
  • System Calibration: Conducting daily GPS system checks, ensuring base station signal connectivity, and working closely with site surveyors on line and level verification.
  • Plant Care & Safety: Carrying out daily pre-start inspections, greasing, blade maintenance, and keeping the cab in top condition throughout the 10-shift run.

What We're Looking For

  • Plant Ticket: A valid CPCS or NPORS card for Tracked Dozer (Above 10 Tonnes) is strictly mandatory.
  • GPS Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience using Trimble 3D GPS in-cab machine control systems on heavy dozers (Cat D6 or equivalent).
  • Civil Earthworks Background: Strong track record in bulk earthworks, site levelling, and infrastructure projects.
  • Shift Commitment: Full availability to complete the 10-shift block continuously following the site break.
  • PPE & Transport: Standard 5-point PPE (hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots, gloves, eye protection) and reliable transport to site in Middlesbrough.
  • Right to Work: Valid proof of right to work in the UK.
