We are currently recruiting for 4 experienced Mechanical Fitters to support HV fitting and earthing activities on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Monk Fryston. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile energy infrastructure project, working within an experienced site team delivering critical electrical and mechanical installation works.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out HV fitting and earthing installation works
  • Installation and assembly of mechanical components and equipment
  • Supporting the construction and installation of BESS infrastructure
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements
  • Working closely with site supervisors, engineers and commissioning teams
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship

Essential Requirements:

  • Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter on industrial, energy, utilities or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a site-based team

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience working on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
  • Experience on substations, HV installations, renewable energy or power generation projects
  • Knowledge of HV fitting and earthing systems
  • National Grid, DNO or transmission project experience
