We are currently recruiting for 4 experienced Mechanical Fitters to support HV fitting and earthing activities on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Monk Fryston. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile energy infrastructure project, working within an experienced site team delivering critical electrical and mechanical installation works.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out HV fitting and earthing installation works
- Installation and assembly of mechanical components and equipment
- Supporting the construction and installation of BESS infrastructure
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements
- Working closely with site supervisors, engineers and commissioning teams
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship
Essential Requirements:
- Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Valid CSCS Card
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter on industrial, energy, utilities or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site-based team
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience working on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
- Experience on substations, HV installations, renewable energy or power generation projects
- Knowledge of HV fitting and earthing systems
- National Grid, DNO or transmission project experience
