We are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant / Paralegal to join our client and support their busy Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive individual looking to develop their career within a well‑established legal practice.

About the Role

In this role, you will support Conveyancers and Solicitors in managing a varied caseload of property transactions. You will play a key part in ensuring files progress smoothly from instruction to completion, providing high‑quality administrative and legal support throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • File Management: Assisting with opening, maintaining, and closing conveyancing files in line with compliance requirements.
  • Client Communication: Acting as a first point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties.
  • Document Preparation: Drafting standard documents, preparing contract packs, and assisting with searches and enquiries.
  • Administrative Support: Managing correspondence, updating case management systems, and ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded.
  • Progression of Transactions: Supporting fee earners with the progression of sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • Compliance & Due Diligence: Carrying out ID checks, AML procedures, and ensuring all regulatory obligations are met.
  • Post‑Completion Work: Assisting with SDLT submissions, Land Registry applications, and finalising files.

About You

  • Experience in a conveyancing or legal support role.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
  • Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
