Permanent role | Full-Time Hours | Monday to Friday

Salary up to £25,000 per annum + benefits (depending on experience)

Search Consultancy are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Law firm based in Edinburgh City Centre to recruit this brand new permanent role within their team following a promotion. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive Administration & Secretarial support to a number of Partners & Associates within one of the departments. This role would ideally suit a candidate with prior Administration experience (preferably from within the Legal or Professional Services industry) who is looking for their next move into a role where they can learn & progress with a true industry leader!

Duties involved in this role will include:

  • Completion of Legal documentation, forms & correspondence on instruction from fee earners in a timely fashion
  • Carrying out copy & audio-typing as required
  • Handling incoming calls to the departments, dealing with initial queries, taking & passing on messages & referring calls to the appropriate person if required
  • Ensuring that client files & the internal client system is accurately updated following any contact
  • Various other Administration & Secretarial work as directed by the Support Manager & Partners

In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:

  • Previous experience within an Administration role is ESSENTIAL. Candidates with prior Legal Administration experience would be at a distinct advantage
  • Solid organisational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively
  • First-class communication skills, both written & verbal, with the ability to show empathy when dealing with sensitive situations
  • Excellent attention to detail
