We are seeking an ambitious and outgoing Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services consultancy. This role would suit someone with a proven track record of contributing to business growth and delivering high-quality projects. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients
- Support business development activities, including identifying new opportunities and assisting with project tenders
- Oversee project delivery from feasibility through to construction stage
- Ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with the client brief
- Manage multiple projects across a variety of sectors
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including clients, architects, contractors, and consultants
- Oversee and contribute to technical design throughout the project lifecycle
- Attend client meetings and project progress meetings
- Carry out site inspections and report findings back to the design team
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience within a Building Services Consultancy environment
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Working towards Chartership (CIBSE or IMechE preferred)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with a good awareness of electrical, sustainability, and public health services
- Up-to-date knowledge of British Standards, regulations, and codes of practice
- Experience managing client relationships and developing new business opportunities
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental policies
