We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lift Supervisor (M&E Operative) to join a major National Grid substation project based at Melksham. This is a long-term contract opportunity working on a live energy infrastructure project, ideal for candidates with previous National Grid substation experience and the correct authorisations already in place.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervising and coordinating lifting operations on site in line with project requirements
- Ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures
- Liaising with site management, crane teams, and operatives to coordinate planned lifts
- Monitoring compliance with lifting plans, RAMS, and health & safety procedures
- Supporting wider M&E site operations where required
- Maintaining strict adherence to National Grid safety standards and permit systems
- National Grid Person (NG Person) - Mandatory
- Lift Supervisor qualification/certification
- Manual Handling
- Previous experience working on National Grid substations or similar live utility infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures within high-risk environments
- Ability to start promptly and commit to the full contract duration
