Search Consultancy is recruiting for a leading law firm based in Edinburgh City Centre. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial support to fee earners within the firm's Private Client team.
Responsibilities- Timely and accurate completion of varied documentation and correspondence as required in accordance with the fee earner instructions and department styles.
- Undertake digital dictation and typing for the fee earners on a daily basis.
- Deal with incoming calls, emails & correspondence coming into the department, flagging & escalating as appropriate.
- Take & pass on messages to the appropriate person within the department.
- Assist fee earners with ad hoc administration as & when required, such as form filling.
- Liaise with the Secretarial Support Manager to help plan allocation of work across the teams & staff.
- Carry out various other secretarial & admin duties as directed.
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Audio‑Typing experience; preference for Private Client setting experience (Wills, Powers of Attorney, Title Deeds).
- Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise a very busy workload & pivot focus when needed.
- First class IT and typing skills, competency with the MS Office suite and experience of digital dictation software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
