Search are currently supporting a large law firm in the centre of Leeds who is looking to recruit a Legal Cashier to join their growing finance team! The role would be suited to someone who has a year's experience and is wanting more exposure.
Job Duties:
- Assisting with the process of financial transactions
- Ensuring the office, client and nominal account ledgers are up to date
- Checking and data entry of bills
- Taking both internal and external calls, including taking card payments
- Daily banking
- Raising cheques in accordance with fee earners or support staff instructions
- Maintenance of the firm's petty cash system and processing of expenses
- Ensuring that transactions and processes comply with the SRA Accounts Rules, HMRC regulations and other relevant legislation and guidance
What's required:
- Worked in a similar role before
- Competent with Microsoft packages
- Ability to work to timed deadlines
- Analytic
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
What's on offer:
- Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 17:00 or 09:00 - 17:30
- Enrolment into profit share scheme as it is an employee owned business
- 23 days annual leave plus bank rising with service up to 31
