Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum (DOE)

The Opportunity: We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Paraplanner to join our growing team in Wetherby. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about financial planning and is keen to continue developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Working closely with our Financial Planners, you will provide high-quality technical support through research, analysis and report writing, helping to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive Financial Plans and Suitability Reports.
  • Conduct technical research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
  • Prepare and collate all documentation required to support product and provider recommendations.
  • Attend client meetings where required, taking accurate notes and following up on agreed actions.
  • Manage your own workload effectively, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements, internal procedures and quality standards.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for clients, advisers and external providers, responding to queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, advisers and colleagues.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 18 months' experience in a Paraplanner (or similar) role.
  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) or higher.
  • A genuine ambition to progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status.
  • Strong technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning, with particular expertise in pensions.
  • Experience writing suitability reports and carrying out investment and product research.
  • A solid understanding of the financial planning process and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth clients.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with clients, providers and colleagues.
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Experience using financial planning software, cashflow modelling tools and back-office systems.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Level 4 Regulated Financial Planning Diploma
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
