The role:
As a Chef - Care Homes, you'll provide essential catering support to care homes across Fife as and when they need cover. You'll use your experience to deliver safe, well-balanced meals that meet residents' individual dietary needs. This role exists to ensure residents continue to receive appropriate meals when permanent kitchen staff are unavailable.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for care home residents
- Catering for levelled diets and special dietary requirements
- Working in line with IDDSI guidelines for residents with swallowing difficulties
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Adapting quickly to different care home kitchens and ways of working
What we're looking for:
- Previous chef experience, with care home experience preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of IDDSI and texture-modified diets
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in new environments
- A Full PVG, or willingness to obtain one with support
