We are currently recruiting experienced Groundworkers / Drainage Operatives for long-term work based in Wigan. This role involves working as part of an established gang carrying out drainage, sewer, and civil engineering works on a major project.
If you have a strong background in drainage and sewer installation and hold a valid Confined Spaces certificate, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out drainage and sewer installation, repairs, and maintenance.
- Install pipes, manholes, chambers, and associated drainage infrastructure.
- Work safely in confined spaces following site procedures.
- Operate as part of a drainage gang to complete works efficiently.
- Read and work from drawings and site plans.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures on site.
- Proven experience in drainage and sewer works.
- Confined Spaces certificate (essential).
- Experience working as part of a gang.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Good understanding of health and safety on civil engineering sites.
- Reliable, hard-working, and able to work as part of a team.
- Forward Tipping Dumper ticket (preferred).
- Experience on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Long-term work.
